The 2023 Petit Stampede blends Petit Verdot and Petite Sirah in a rich, fruit-forward style. Layers of raspberry and blueberry jam come through up front, followed by earthy notes and a hint of chocolate. The palate is smooth and textured, with plenty of ripe red fruit and just the right amount of weight. Bold but balanced, it’s a full-flavored red that’s easy to enjoy.
Winemaking: All estate fruit. Destemmed & fermented on skins for 2 weeks, pressed when dry & aged in 100% Neutral French oak for 18 months.
Pairs well with gamey meats, lamb stew, roasted leeks, well-aged blue cheese.
