This variety is often used as a blender for it's color and tannins. It is a late ripening Bordeaux grape variety, and became popular in Argentina as a varietal wine. We have the hot summers to get Malbec ripe in the Paso Robles AVA. If you like Malbec, you will like this one for sure.
